Drawing Class

As I mentioned a few posts ago, I'm now taking a drawing class. Originally I was planning on posting everything I drew in the class, but given that we've been drawing the most boring thing imaginable, I decided against it. So, one week before the class ends, I know can show you a few of the things I drew during the course of the class.

One of the first things we did was just drawing a simple ball. Mostly this was to learn about shadows

A much harder exercise we did for homework one night was to draw an onion and a garlic.

Just yesterday I got to draw my Ikea couch- a lesson in perspective.

Overall it's been a really great learned experience. I'm going to take the next class, "Fundamentals in Drawing 2", so hopefully I'll have more drawings to share with you soon.

it's the Bad Movie Night couch!!! I love that couch so much. Definitely take the next class Molly, this one was way too simple for someone of your talent!

Ikea couches are amazing. The names are always so hard to say! But man, it can be fun putting together everything!

Your drawings are super good! Keep going! :D I really cant wait to see more.

I found you from Nico's blog, and these are good! So are your portraits! Where are you taking classes? Do you have life drawing where you take classes?

Hi Max! Nico has spoken of you!

I'm taking classes at The Drawing Studio, check it out...
www.thedrawingstudio.org

They have open studios several times a week. I've never been, but it's only 7 bucks a pop and you draw a live model! Let me know if you want someone to go with sometime!

Molly,

Sorry it took so long to get back but yeah that sounds great! I don't even have enough money to go right now but hopefully I'll win 200 clams at the Loft tonight so I can afford to check out the studio. Here's hoping!
